So I got this VGT AR 80 blank some time ago from another member here who won it in a fundraiser auction. The SN# is VGT0000 and I’ve been wondering how unique it is.

My question is it really unique or we’re there a bunch made with 0000? Should I finish and build it or save it as unique machine art?

There can only be one lower with a serial number of vgt0000

I'd finish it, and have the only VGT0000 rifle/pistol/whatever

if it is an 80% lower, then it doesn't need a serial number at all, unless you finish it and sell it along. You would have to find out who else got one from the batch and see how they were numbered, if they were at all beyond the zeros

Panic 788, I know homemade guns don’t need to be serialized but I still engrave my last name - birthdate - manufactured date inside the mag well just in case.

Maybe I’ll just save this one for my 15 year old to finish himself when he is 18. Just wish I knew if there was 1 or 100 VGT0000’s

VGT0000 was the 1st VaGunTrader lower made during the 1st run ever batch of VGT lowers that came from Zombie Defense. VaGunTrader had it originally and he put it up for auction awhile back to help another member if my memory serves me right. Far as I know, there is only 1.

Personally I wouldn't use it as a 1st attempt at completing a lower, it is unique.

I wouldn’t use it as a first attempt, either. This thing is seriously cool!

Thanks the cwa, glad it is a special piece with a special history. I'll take my time finishing this one and make VaGunTrader proud.

I can't remember the reason it wasnt 100% finished. I think Zombie put in the order and the machine shop forgot 0000 and had to go back and make it later. But why not 100%?
I still did the paperwork on it when I picked it up.

I wouldnt try to machine it out myself since I don't have the correct equipment to machine it.
I'd pay someone to do it right.
