just to let everyone know. watched local news yesterday evening and one of our va. democrat ladies said [ all this was just a little noise and we are going to push forward all the new bills that we started with] this has just begun to get ugly. I hope all of our republican counter parts are up to the task at hand. we can only hope the courts come to there senses.the dems are not going to stop.

I will truly be shocked to see any meaningful change on the Democrat side following yesterday's rally. We will be dealing with this for the foreseeable future, at least until Democrats lose control of the legislature. Don't let your guard down yet. This is just the beginning.

At best this might temper the more radical legislation for now.

A friend posted on their FB page about how some of their aquaintances voted Dem in VA races in 2019 because they don't like Trump. They are now aghast at the proposed legislation, and not just over guns, but over voting changes, abortion, etc.

The best thing we can do is continue tyo publbicly make the case how 'radical' the Dems who were elected really are...

But I'll wager that this sort of reasoning was a lot of the wind that was in Democrats sails. They'll over reach, they always do. Hopefully some of these issues make it to court and we'll win favorable rulings. That might be the best.
