confused
I bought an early 1950s Browning SA22 takedown from a member, I think early 2019/late 2018. Since I dont remember who the member was, I have no way of contact them to ask them about this issue.

ftw
After buying the rifle I was not able to take it to the range the first time for about 4 or 5 months. When I attempted to shoot the rifle, it would not fire the rounds. I ejected a couple of rounds with the same result, no firing success at all. I did not see any indentation where the firing pin would impact the rims of each round. Upon inspection, it shows that the firing pin does come through the block and you can both see and feel the tip of the firing pin. It looks to be correct.
shotgun
The magazine rod and spring seem to be in fine working order and I cannot see anything that would hinder the proper mechanical function of the rifle.
This particular Browning is an early 50s model, 22 LR only.
hehe
If anyone has had any experience with this particular gun and problem, please let me know if and how you resolved the problem. Thanks in advance for your help, it is much appreciated.

Before doing anything does in go click when pulling the trigger? If is does not you may have a sear issue (parts 29, 30, 36). If it does a common issue with the browning's is the firing pin spring (part 23) breaks and jams the firing pin from effective movement. This will probably require a complete disassembly of the SA-22 to get a final determination.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I had no idea you sent me a response. The trigger functions and the gun does function but the situation you describe may be present. I will check it and let you know. thanks for the feedback.
