You poo-pooers are going to regret not having a stash of ammo...

When civilization crashes and its open season on snowflake democrats and yer gun is empty.

Well, it could happen.

Rather than whining learn to be self reliant!

When things are less expensive and plentiful stack it high and pack it deep.
That goes for anything you think you might need, water, TP, non perishable foods, guns and ammo.

Remember a private citizen doesn’t have to sell you anything from their personal stock.

Expecting folks to sell their items( non life essentials) to you for the same price they bought it for is insane.

You had the same chance to purchase the items at lower prices.
The fact you didn’t isn’t anyone’s fault but your own.

I and many others ( not speaking for anyone) didn’t buy ammo thinking we’d sell it for a small profit when things got stoopid.

But hey, there appears to be a need and I/ we have more than enough to spare...

Like others said” if you are in dire need of a small amount of SD ammo I’d be happy to help you out if I can.”

Personal friends know their covered, as the offer goes without saying.

If it bothers you don’t buy it!!!!
My items won’t go to waste and it cost me nothing to keep.

Cannot gouge Ammunition prices. Ammunition is not a 'Necessary good or service'

Virginia Law ( § 59.1-525, et seq.) on price gouging basically states..

During a time of disaster, selling, leasing, or licensing "any necessary goods and services at an unconscionable price."

Read more here.
https://codes.findlaw.com/va/title-59-1-trade-and-commerce/va-code-sect-59-1-525.html

And file your complaint here. (Real complaints on real applicable goods or services. Be smart about it Ammunition is neither)
https://www.oag.state.va.us/consumer-protection/files/PriceGougingComplaintFormOAG.pdf

Be better prepared. People here would be a good place to open dialog with to learn how you can better prepare for events like these to where you do not care if people are asking and yes GETTING the high prices for ammunition.

It never fails that, during every "panic," someone who doesn't understand basic economics starts the "price gouging" thread, and criticizes people for selling something for the market price.

You had better believe that I'm gonna have some 22lr to sell if it's going for 10cpr. And if someone wants to buy it for that price, who are you to tell us that's a bad thing? Get a grip.

Original poster: You are about the most naive person I have encountered, ever. Go to the library when it opens and read up on capitalism, supply & demand and basic economics. Then get yourself prepared for times like this so next time you aren't whining like a stupid **VOTE IN NOVEMBER** boy on VAGT.

Pricing is elastic. Now if you are stocked up on TP you might offer it in trade..

I dont know what the problem is here, I know that we can't late term abort these gougers, so I just ignore them and won't ever deal with them. Lol

Exactly. I tend not to buy ammo private party anyway, unless it's one of my obscure calibers.
There are plenty of places to buy it cheaper than the ammo sale forum here, so just don't, problem solved.

The problem is that those people had a real small window, now most places I go have plenty of TP it might now but your favorite but the wegmans by me is stocked with some off brand.

Same with ammo it's all coming back slowly now.

If you are out of TP you would happy to buy some at 3x the normal price.

Ammo is the same way - if you banned "gouging" people would simply sit on their ammo and none would be available.
