K. GEBERT OF MUNCHEN German Double Cape Gun - 8X57 and 28Gauge
I have had this for about 8 years now. Shot 2 rounds (light loads) from each barrel when I bought it and since then has been sitting in the safe, just take it out once in a while to admire the craft and clean it. According to the previous owner it was brought back by his grandfather from Germany after WW2 and was taken from a German general's arms cache. No documental proof of that story.
As per some German Double guns experts the markings say that it was built between 1899 and 1905.
Action is tight and bores are very clean. Finish has worn off but no rust at all. The original trigger guard was lost long time back and they replaced it with a close match.
I have not come across another for sale in the 8 last year. The only one that's almost similar (double rifle) is this one:
