Good afternoon,
While cleaning my Remington 700 muzzleloader this morning I removed the bolt that holds the bolt action in. I noticed that the bolt seemed very worn and after cleaning it I went to replace it and found that both the bolt threads were damaged and the internal threads on the receiver were flattened.
Is there anyone within a reasonable distance of Fauquier county who can drill and tap the hole? I have a new bolt so that part is taken care of.
I am supposed to leave for a quota muzzleloader hunt in Virginia beach Wednesday night.
Thanks in advance.
Luke

Might be able to just have a machine shop do that for you, otherwise try Hall gunsmithing in Fredericksburg
