Guys,

There are well over 20 Glocks for Sale or Trade on our 1st page alone. Is there something I'm missing? Why is everyone getting rid of their Glocks? I haven't read anything about recalls or anything. Can someone tell me why?

My guess is that the market believes that some (few) Glock competitors have been proven to meet the reliability standard at a lower price and/or with more features.

At least that's where I'm at.

Or, people may just be trying to leverage the hot market that the Biden administration brings.

It some combination of the two.

Hot market that's absolutely flooded with idiots, both buyers and sellers. Fun times we live in right?

I don't know why others are selling their items. Maybe send messages to them to ask.

They are getting double what they paid for them.

And...it is not everyone - Mine are not for sale.

I'm waiting until the going price triples.

Right on. I bet those folks have 20 glocks each in the safe. Good time to sell. Prices are above what I saw in my LGS. Prices at a local auction were amazing. Definitely a good time to sell.

That's the funny thing. I don't care what you sell your gun for, but it amazes me that the secondary market and auctions still get higher prices than gun shops. The store near me has a good selection of handguns, and they sit. Gen 5 Glocks for 550 in the store. But put the same one on GunBroker and it will sell for almost 700. They had a 26 on the shelf for over a month at 499. She put it on GB and sold for 670.

I too am amazed. My local gunshop has a new G19 Gen5 for $560 and a like new G19 Gen4 with some kind of sweet sights that I do not know the name of for $550. There must be some psychology to bidding on line or buying on line instead of in person that I do not understand. Maybe the money doesn't seem as real. It is a fascinating time...but I really wish it were boring (and in the past) and I could go buy some 9mm and 22 at Walmart right now

Gen 5 Glocks are listed at $650 on Palmetto State Armory right now. The ones with special colors and sites are $700. Then you have to pay for shipping and FFL fees on top of that. I've seen similar prices on Buds Guns when they have Glocks in stock. This seems like a great time to sell off AR's and Glocks if you have extras laying around. I miss the days of M&P Shields for $250 NEW and cases of 9mm for $189 shipped! It's gonna be years before we find Guns and ammo at reasonable prices again.....At least magazines are still available at normal prices.

I dont think reasonably priced guns and ammo are coming back. Trump was our last republican president. Demographics, and the millennial vote will keep the liberal left in power. They will tax and restrict firearms and ammunition to the point, where the average person cannot afford it. We will talk about the " good ol days" when .223/5.56 was $1 per round. I hope I'm wrong, but I see dark times ahead.

That's why I will just buy locally. 550 plus sales tax, is right around 580.

Just to chime in for those who like Glocks that are Veterans...Glock has made their blue label program permanently available for all honorably discharged Veterans. This is usually reserved for LEO, Retired military, etc. This is new as before it was only for a certain time in the year. If you're not familiar with Blue Label, You can get a G19 Gen 5 for $100 or more off the stores retail price. GT had Gen 5 19s on blue label last week for $420 before tax.

Just bring a copy of your DD214 showing your honorable discharge and ID with you to the dealer which you can find a dealer on their website. The program allows you to buy 2 per calendar year I believe. At least that's how it is for LEO.

Bass Pro, Green Top, Town Police, and others in my area. Ask someone at the dealer what blue labels they have in stock. Some would prefer not to sell because they want to make a larger sale on a retail gun but always ask.

As far as I know, the best blue label prices around is Town Police. Not sure as I haven't bought from there.

For the same reason why there are so many AR15s for sale. Folks own three or four of them, decide which one they like the best, and sell off the rest.

I've noticed a trend of G19's being sold like crazy. I attribute this to the release of the G43x and G48. Ever since those 2 pistols came out, it's been a barn sale on G19's.
