Anyone shoot in their backyard? Wondering where it’s allowed/legal and what did you have to do/setup? I’m aware noise ordinance is another thing in itself.

Can't shoot a gun in Fairfax County. There's several indoor ranges in the area.

Yep, northern Virginia is pretty bad with backyard shooting but wasn’t sure. I know you can out towards Fredericksburg and continuing further out.

Rd doesn’t make a difference. It if you’re within city limits or not then if you’re in a HOA etc. you ll also have to meet the requirements of spacing on each side of your range. From my understanding it’s 150 yds on ever side between your range and the next residence but each area has specifics. Another thing even if it’s legal and you have the spacing etc is your neighbors not wanting to hear the shots and they hitting you with noise complaints. Hopefully you’re around friendly neighbors who dint mind or shoot themselves. I did speak with a guy who shoots on his small yard but shoots suppressed to avoid the noise issue
