Curious if anyone has used Damp Check moisture absorber ( refillable ) in a gun safe and were the results positive?
Thanks for your input

I would recommend moving your safe to a location with better climate control if you are getting that much moisture in the air where it currently sits.

I’m not having an issue , I’m just doing preventive maintenance. Been using portable dehumidifiers in my safes for years . I was just looking for other , possibly better alternatives

Damp Check is the same thing as Drierite which I have been using in my gun safe and geochemistry labs for years. It's quite effective. Drierite is the industry standard for moisture control when you are dealing with hydrophilic materials. I have a 5 pound jar of it from the 1970's in my gun safe and haven't had a single rust issue ever. Just take it out once a year and bake it in the oven and start over. My friend had problems with his 1980's vintage sig mags rusting, and we put some drierite in his safe and zero problems going forward. I'd buy whichever one is cheaper, both are excellent dessicants.
