A little late on this, but have spent this year getting the kayak fishing setup dialed at a few spots on the James. It's a lot of work on a river that has both current and tides- not uncommon for a paddle to take twice as long one way as it did the other, and you really do want some experience forecasting marine weather before diving right in. Been a good year, though- caught a bunch of Striper, cats, Shad and White Perch near Richmond.

If anyone else is into the kayak fishing gig, shoot me a PM!
