Picked this vz52 rifle up. Kinda rough, old, dirty, sticky, grungy.

Let's fix that.

After completely disassembling the rifle, I scrubbed all the metal parts in my solvent tank.

Then cleaned and lubed it all up with clothes.

The stock I sanded down removing all the stain and gunk.

Applied a few coats of boiled linseed oil.

Once dry I reassembled it all.

Nice time to check the bore out. How bad is the bore?

Quick question - is your bayonet bow out from the stock, or does it snap tight to the stock? Mine bows out ever slightly, and is worrisome when shooting. Any idea on how to tighten the blade spring up? Thanks..
And also - very well done on your VZ52! She cleaned up really nice!

Bore is ok. Could be better, I do have a spare parts gun that i need to clean and see what's what with its barrel. If that barrel is better, than switcheroo I do. smile

Gray beard I will have to check
