I'm working on a Bulgarian milled kit that I got a set of Romanian trunnions for so I can build it on a stamped receiver instead of a milled one. Hopefully it will come out nice so I can post up some good pictures!

Figured I'd update this with a pic of the new Bulgarian Milled turned into a Stamped receiver...plus an updated pic of the AMD-65 with a repaint and a chopped down front grip to make changing 30rnd mags easier! New bumpfire ssak-47 stock, new tapco trigger, hammer and gas tube, new slanted muzzle break ( bought 3 and it works the best) new laser, some scope and a retractable bi-pod rail grip.... 922r compliant. Only one Im showing!! Someone on here must remember this one, now it looks a bit different.... It looks vaguely familiar but I don't recall all the mall ninja accompaniments. How does that slidefire stock work on the AK?

Yeah 2 out of the 3 looked ok (one had some Arabic writing carved into it - look for this to show up on my next project)
They come out pretty got once you strip them and bleach em.
I like that they come with almost all of the hardware (just don't have the spring clip for the gas tube ~$3)

You should start a thread on how you build them, stamping, barrel pressing, check for headspace and what tools ect you use to make them. +1 on that Wes...nice work.

Yeah my 1st receiver didn't make it into the gun phase had to demill it and start over again. The right tools make all of the difference. Well this will be the start of the next kit and I'll try to document the build as best as I can.

Nice AKS74U kit, is that an original barrel? I recommend an AKS74U receiver from David @ 74U LLC. His receivers have the AB and OD selector engravings and can serialize your serial number to the receiver.
You can't buy a better receiver, the rear trunion latch and front latch are pre cut and the detail is amazing.

Unfortunately pelosi had the BBL cut.(Not really but fun to blame everything on her) So my Choice is a US Chrome line BBL
I have been eyeing 74ULLC and Nodak.
Leaning towards 74ull due to Original Numbers and the Possibility of being able to match the Receiver #s
However with 74ULLC you have to add a Character so it wont be 100%

I can't resist posting pictures of my evil children. Arsenal Krink:   It now wears a Russian brown recoil pad. MAK90:  It's got a slant brake now. Oh, and a hammer retarder. Still getting used to that, it's almost too slow. Not an AK, but...  Biggest change on this one, other than the fact that she runs now (didn't when the pic was taken) is that the handguards are bakelite. Vastly superior to wood for actual shooting.

Which is why I vowed never to sell anymore AK's. Although I may not be able to buy OR sell them anymore in the next few months so I guess I'll keep my word like it or not.

Here's my latest acquisition. Pap M92 Just refinished the wood in Minwax Red Oak stain with 3 coats of poly. Also added a new flash hider until I get my fake suppressor in at which point, I'll have it tack welded on and have my ak-builder triangle folding stock installed. Also added a detent pin kit this morning to keep my flash hider from working itself off Overall plan is to SBR it so eventually the fake suppressor will come off after the stamp comes back.

Wouldn't mind a 5.45 Saiga one bit. I had a TGI 74' for all of a month before I sold it. Paid $379. Hindsight is 20/20.

Did some reconfiguring swaped out the black magpul moe pistol grip and rvg for FDE and swaped the hogue handguards for a set of Midwest Industries railed handguard with some FDE rail covers Before  After
