Making a 3/8" plate steel (A36 mild) sign for our mountain in WV. Using a friend's CNC plasma cutter... Anniversary present for Laura. 36" long on the horizontal. We had a software glitch and the machine misaligned "layers", but we will try again. Very fun stuff. Preliminary design at bottom. Plan to drop a bunch of Cant hooks from the "dead" space and build a half dozen premium tools.

Signs in WV aren’t complete without a few bullet holes in them. Just wouldn’t fit in. Still very nice.

Worked out the bugs (for the most part).  3/8" plate steel... sign is 32" wide and 25" tall... about #45. Cost was per square foot... sign is 5 square feet at $60 per... so $300 for the finished sign. The plasma tip circulates coolant... some coolant was escaping this circulation and got into the plasma stream so we had a build up of slag as we cut (i.e. that is why the letters didn't drop free). Problem we have to solve yet.
