I'm working on a Bulgarian milled kit that I got a set of Romanian trunnions for so I can build it on a stamped receiver instead of a milled one. Hopefully it will come out nice so I can post up some good pictures!

Figured I'd update this with a pic of the new Bulgarian Milled turned into a Stamped receiver...plus an updated pic of the AMD-65 with a repaint and a chopped down front grip to make changing 30rnd mags easier!

Dont ever post pics of my stuff online but did it on another website so here is my tacktikool ninja wasr. New bumpfire ssak-47 stock, new tapco trigger, hammer and gas tube, new slanted muzzle break ( bought 3 and it works the best) new laser, some scope and a retractable bi-pod rail grip.... 922r compliant. Only one Im showing!! Someone on here must remember this one, now it looks a bit different....

It looks vaguely familiar but I don't recall all the mall ninja accompaniments. How does that slidefire stock work on the AK?

Now it works quite well after adding the front rail grips and the muzzle break.

General, are those the Balkan stock sets that Apex Gun Parts had?

Yeah 2 out of the 3 looked ok (one had some Arabic writing carved into it - look for this to show up on my next project)

They come out pretty got once you strip them and bleach em.

I like that they come with almost all of the hardware (just don't have the spring clip for the gas tube ~$3)

That is a great little set-up you have there Togeneral and your ak's looks great!... Wish I had the space and knowledge to build one. You should start a thread on how you build them, stamping, barrel pressing, check for headspace and what tools ect you use to make them. I can build a house but from the ground up but cant even fathom where to start on a ak build. People like yourself are a rare breed these days, you need to teach us youngsters!!

LOL The first AK build that I tried years ago, I crushed a receiver.

Yeah my 1st receiver didn't make it into the gun phase had to demill it and start over again.

The right tools make all of the difference.

Well this will be the start of the next kit and I'll try to document the build as best as I can.

My 86 Tula Krink Kit

Nice AKS74U kit, is that an original barrel? I recommend an AKS74U receiver from David @ 74U LLC. His receivers have the AB and OD selector engravings and can serialize your serial number to the receiver.

You can't buy a better receiver, the rear trunion latch and front latch are pre cut and the detail is amazing.

Unfortunately pelosi had the BBL cut.(Not really but fun to blame everything on her) So my Choice is a US Chrome line BBL

I have been eyeing 74ULLC and Nodak.

Leaning towards 74ull due to Original Numbers and the Possibility of being able to match the Receiver #s

However with 74ULLC you have to add a Character so it wont be 100%

Biggest change on this one, other than the fact that she runs now (didn't when the pic was taken) is that the handguards are bakelite. Vastly superior to wood for actual shooting.

When I think about all the AKs that I've had over the years and let them go, I die a little inside.

Which is why I vowed never to sell anymore AK's. Although I may not be able to buy OR sell them anymore in the next few months so I guess I'll keep my word like it or not.

Just got back into the AK game. This is an IAC AK74.

These are both Saiga conversions that I did.

The blue stock AK74 style convo was part of the wife;s Christmas present. She wanted the CavArms blue Duracoat, so that's what I did. The other rifle is a 7.62 Saiga I did over the summer.

Here's my latest acquisition. Pap M92
Just refinished the wood in Minwax Red Oak stain with 3 coats of poly.
Also added a new flash hider until I get my fake suppressor in at which point, I'll have it tack welded on and have my ak-builder triangle folding stock installed. Also added a detent pin kit this morning to keep my flash hider from working itself off

Overall plan is to SBR it so eventually the fake suppressor will come off after the stamp comes back.

I like my M92 PAP, I just wish it had a bulged receiver.

Wouldn't mind a 5.45 Saiga one bit. I had a TGI 74' for all of a month before I sold it. Paid $379. Hindsight is 20/20.

Picked up a used SAR-1 from the gun show this past weekend. I'm waiting on my new handguards and the setup will be finished. Just took it to the range to break in the G2 trigger group I just installed. The Trijicon RX30a-51 is also dialed in. Solid groups at 100 yards on a small sized torso silhouette, that should carry over to the 200-350 yard range with some slight compensation for bullet drop.

Minute-of-man at 300 yards. Sounds good to me!
