Bushcraft/camping spot?

Looking for a place to practice Bushcrafting/making a shelter and sleeping outside. If the ability to practice shooting is a possibility that would be cool too but I bought a bunch of gear recently and want to test it out and try new techniques. Hopefully somebody on here in this area is in to the same thing but it not and you just don't mind if I go out on your land once in a blue moon that would be cool too.

P.s. I have plenty of 9mm ammo haha

You could try the various wildlife management sites or state/federal forests as many allow over night camping. I built a few primitive lean-to shelters in George Washington National forest a few years back.
