M1 Garand Shooters in Tidewater

Does anyone know of an association or a loose association of M1 shooters/Garand collectors in the tidewater area? Just wondering if there are many M1 bugs in the area or if anyone travels to the CMP games at Camp Butner down in NC?

I like to shoot mine. Can't say I've heard of an association out in these parts though. I dig shooting most any C&R honestly.

I've been wondering that exact same thing - even thought about trying to get a little M1 Collectors Club going.

This should be a good gauge of interest.

There is a "Military Rifle" match held at Airfield 4 H center in Wakefield the second Saturday of each month. It is run by the Airfield Shooting Club. The match is very informal and uses the CMP 30 round format. Safety Brief is at 0830 and round down range at 0900. The fee for non club members is $10.00. Many of us shoot M1s or 1903s. Google the Airfield Shooting Club for directions and membership info.
