Selling a pistol in VA - 03/13/13 02:30 PM
Okay everyone,
I have a question that I can't find a correct answer to online.
I'm currently on active duty, I have purchased a home in VA but my actual residence is still considered a resident of Florida.
Okay, so can I legally sell a pistol face to face with a bill of sale to someone in VA?
My concerns are that the pistol I currently want to sell has me as the original owner and was registered in Florida in my name. I'm more comfortable with paying a dealer to do a transfer but most people only want to do a FTF transaction which to me sends up a Red flag of some concern.
If I was to do a FTF transaction can I?
Does anyone know where I can find answers to this question??
Thank you for your time!
V/R,
Scott
