2014/2015 deer hunting

Never did get a shot at one with the bow last year but got one already this year, urban archery.

get a few more for me. going to miss all of archery and possibly the full season with a bum shoulder.

I would certainly like to get get a few more. I just ordered a sportsman mount for my gopro, hopefully I can get some footage of an archery kill with that when it comes.

Where can you do urban archery in Northern Virginia?

Are there places in NoVA for regular hunting? I'm not aware of any place close to me, that's why I was asking about urban archery, I'm sure people do it around NoVA, I just don't know where.

i killed a scrub buck yesterday evening, pics to follow

Little scrub last weekend with the bow.

No deer yet but freezer is full.

Dad and I got 10 pheasants (limit of 12) in SD then he and I hunted elk in southwestern WY and both scored. Me on a weird horned one and he on a more traditional 5x5. Awesome week!!

Now to get my daughter a deer....

Killed both this evening not even 5 mins apart, as soon as I reloaded. 5 and 4 point not my biggest but still happy with them.

That is a purdy one Spots, looks like a big body deer too. I haven't seen any trophies walking around, but have put some meat in the freezer. Wife cooked some fresh loin in the crockpot with potatoes and whatnot last week, mmmm mmmm, tasty morsels.

I went out this morning to dump my gut bucket from yesterday and shot this albino doe at 20 yards bedded down. Glad I had a few DCAP tags or I would have had to let her walk. I'm beginning to like that 6x45 AR

Got a couple of nice public land bucks during early muzzleloader. Love hunting the mountains!! Anybody else hunt out my way?

Hey, anybody do any shed hunting? I only found one this year. The one on the far right. Found all the others last year. All public land. Put my buddy where I found the one on the far left. He saw him but no shot through the trees. I also put him where I found the two 5-point sheds (different deer but less that 50 yards apart. Found one in April and the other in September), but he never saw a deer there.
