Wyoming Elk Hunt - 10/03/19 07:55 AM

Just got back from 2 weeks elk hunting in Wyoming. Killed my first bull from ~320 yards with the trusty 300wby.

Gorgeous bull! Which part of WY? I leave in 48 hours to hunt an Antelope tag in the Southeastern part of the state. Low temp the day we arrive is five degrees, hah

Awesome man, that is killer. How many preference points did it take you to draw? Building my stash now.

Found this guy on my first speed goat gig. Not too bad for a holiday weekend in a unit that takes 0 points to draw. They are super tasty too, have a sagey, herbal character to them.

I went with my stepdad and we had 5 points between us. We also went for the non resident special tags which gave us a lot better chance of drawing. I think moose in Alaska is my next hunt
