The U.S. government has announced Uniting for Ukraine. People fleeing the war in Ukraine can apply to come to the U.S. with the support of a sponsor. That could be you!

The program allows for the US Citizen or US Organisation to sponsor a family under the US title "Humanitarian Parole". The American is vetted by the US State Department and DHS. The Ukrainian Family is vetted by their government and given permission to relocate to the US under Humanitarian Parole.
The American can list specifically what they have to offer.
Example: a couch, 1 bedroom, an apartment, a cabin/cottage, etc.
They need to know what services are near by.
Example: Hospital, Schools, train/bus, etc.
They need to know how many you can temporarily support while they are adjusting to the US and applying for their Social Security Number which will allow them to enrol the children into schools, work, and as well all know.... you need to have for everything.
These are families, torn by a brutal war. They have all lost close family and many their entire towns and way of life are no longer on the Earth.
They are all eager to get out and move on with a new life with better opportunities for their children in the US.
Ask around your town, people who you know, who have a spare room.
What may not be much to an American, is the World to a Family who has lost everything.
