WTF? Outsiders were brought in to write this crap. Can’t drill while armed? Good luck with this! These proposals does nothing but further drive a wedge between the powers that be and everyone else. No good will come from this.

We can no longer take our kids to practice shooting targets, but unsupervised kids can still play Call of Duty and other violent online/video games. Got it.....

And I'm guessing that's about to put all firearms instructors out of work. Self defense courses...nope.

My passive aggressive tendencies are leaning towards the latter. whip

This law is intended to keep open carry demonstrations from happening. If you open carry in a group you can spend 1 to 10 years in jail if anyone feels intimidated.

It does not appear to pertain to self defense or basic shooter training. But training to attack authority or making that your known intention will get you in trouble.

This means no shooting with friends , no hunt clubs , no shoots of any kind be it fun , competition , turkey shoot etc etc .... This bill would criminalize anyone doing any gun related activity with any other people .... Rewind Germany 1930s ....

Who makes the determination of intent? The VA AG? Any CA that feels you or your group is not progressive enough or just needs to be rid of?

LOL, that bill is either 'fake' or one of the stupidest and most easily overturned laws EVER. It violate numerous parts of the Bill of Rights and the court challenge would take about 30 seconds.

Re: SENATE BILL NO. 64 - 11/29/19 02:36 AM

Sorry to break to you fellas, the image you see above is actually a law on the books, § 18.2-433.2 in effect since the year 1987.

What the new bill is proposing is to amend the law to add the 3rd subsection which is aimed at preventing open carry demonstrations. I'm not advocating for the original law or the amendment, as I still find it a distasteful move against 2A rights.

But it goes without saying that most of this bill has already been the law for 30+ years.

Also, if it looks like your performing crowd control, that’s illegal too according to the AG.
