Form 1 Solvent Trap Suppressor Build

Has anyone ever tried to file a Form 1 and build a suppressor using a solvent trap?

I want to go the suppressor route for a .22 and a 9mm and I'm interested in doing it myself given I have the time and space to do it soon (moving to my farm).

If you've done it, is it worth the effort? Is it significantly easier or faster to just go ahead and buy a suppressor and go through an FFL?

I wouldn't try it right now. As I understand, they have been denying most lately. The current administration is putting the screws to us.

It's much faster. Approval times run an average of 28 days, about the same time as a SBR approval (Form 1) just DO NOT drill/clip the baffles and drill out the endcap until you get an approval. IMHO, 28 days vs 300+ days is a no brainer.

I can promise you my "pop bottle" is as quiet if not more as my Silencerco Omega 300 on my Blackout. All you hear is the action cycling shooting 220gr subs. The exact same performance for $700 less dollars, seems like a no brainer to me.

yeah dont do any form 1 cans now. they will deny you if you even try to use a solvent trap. source -me with 28 form 1 cans lol
