1000 yard range - 11/05/20 08:20 PM

Are there any ranges in VA that have 1000+ yd capabilities? The closer to Richmond the better.

Thank you

Yes. Call QSC (Quantico Shooting Club) for info. The ranges are pretty nice

Wow, I never knew VIR has a shooting range and I've been there like 3-4 times for racing! Unfortunately it's over 3 hours away from me and it looks like you have to be a member of their club. Not for general public...but they go up to 1300 yards, which would be awesome to try out.

VIR has an awesome range. I went there a couple years ago with some guys for my brother's bachelor party. We shot at 500, 800, & 1000 yards, did some short range shooting, & spent a couple hours in one of their shoothouses, which I highly recommend too. All five of us had a great time. We weren't club members, but I just called down there & set up a couple of days to go shoot. It's might not be feasible for just one or two people to shoot, but if you've got a small group it's not too bad of a hit. As long as it's not a race weekend they've got places to stay at too. There's a pretty good pizza place too about 10 minutes away just across the line in Milton, NC. I highly recommend VIR, even if it is a little bit of a drive.
