CC in Carpenter Theater (The Mosque) - 05/26/15 05:38 PM

Does anyone know if concealed carry is prohibited at the Carpenter Theater (The Mosque)? The site says no weapons but I heard it was owned by the City of Richmond -at least in part owned by the city.

Thanks, Bill

I went to a Ted talk at the carpenter. There was no metal detector.

There is a sign posted listing prohibited items and on that list... you guessed it firearms. Unlike the Richmond Colosseum that lists Illegal Weapons as prohibited these folks are banning legally possessed firearms.

I thought a sign on a property did NOT carry the force of law. You can carry concealed, but must leave if asked to do so.

No metal detectors just a stupid cardboard sign. Be discreet and carry on!

Let me modify my previous statement. A sign does not count in public place, but does for private property. If they do business with the public, it's a public place.
