Curious what the carry laws are regarding retired or former law enforcement....

Did I read correctly that all retired LEO are permitted to carry at all times in any location even schools? Doesn't seem right-

Retired. That's how it works. Former, not sure.

2. Any law-enforcement officer, or retired law-enforcement officer pursuant to § 18.2-308.016, wherever such law-enforcement officer may travel in the Commonwealth;

This states ( to my understanding) that retired and active LEOs can carry concealed w/o permit. It does not specifically state where. Logically speaking, active LEOs can get away with CC at airports and schools, retired LEOs not so much.
