Question about 1 pistol per month

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I have a question.I bought a pistol online On October 28
It transfered to me on Nov 1st.Does that mean I can't get a pistol in November?
The reason I ask is I just was given a pistol from PSA for free! So technically I did not purchase it and I don't want to break a law even if it is a stupid one.
I probably could just ask Sonny's to hold it till Dec 1st.
