Ginex primer report - 05/11/22 08:29 AM

For those looking for primers that may not be able to get the brands we are used to seeing, see my report below on Ginex SPP.

Bluff: I have been very happy with results.
I recently had an opportunity to purchase some Ginex brand primers at a decent price (decent for these times). I never heard of them however; the reviews I've seen all were positive. I made a 5k purchase and have been very happy with the results. I did a comparison with the Winchester SPP I had on hand.
These were from two shot strings of 5rds each using a chronograph.
9mm: Loaded with 5.6gr of Longshot with a 125gr plated bullet and Winchester SPP fired from my Springfield Hellcat averaged 1112FPS.
9mm: Loaded the same as above but using the Ginex SPP. Averaged 1115FPS.
.38spl: Loaded with 3.5gr of Bullseye with 158gr SWC fired from my S&W 36 using Winchester SPP. Averaged 768FPS.
.38spl loaded the same but using Ginex SPP. Average 771FPS.

All shots went off first strike, recoil, and primer indentation was indistinguishable between the Winchester Primers. I have fired 800rds using Ginex SPP thus far.

Good review, have some in the primer drawer. Will see how they run in the 357sig.

I recently purchased 10,000 GINEX primers for a group buy HERE on VGT. I bought SPP and SRP. No issues. GINEX primers are from Bosnia.
