Short version:

Matt offered me a Ruger MK III with a micro t1 and cash, pending the sale of his CZ P09.

I offered to mule the CZ to help the deal.

CZ deal falls through

I say I'll take the CZ, Ruger and $100.

He agrees

We agree on time and location

He asks if he can sell the CZ to someone else

I say I would prefer to keep the deal we had

He agrees

------------------- and here it goes south

He tells me he has money/wife issues and he can't do the trade because he needs to sell his stuff for cash

I tell him that it's fine (even though I was suspicious that he had worked a better deal to sell the CZ and wanted to cancel because of it) and we agree it's too bad it didn't work out

I see him on the shoutbox trying to trade the MK III that he told me he needed to sell.

He then says if the sale on the CZ doesn't happen he is willing to trade that as well

Bottom line: he told me he couldn't trade me because he needed money then offered both of the items we had come to terms on as potential trades to somebody else. He ended up selling the CZ but he was dishonest as hell about things and I don't appreciate being lied to after I "made every effort to close the deal".

If he refutes anything I would be happy to provide the entirety of our communications. Not pleased with this guy at the moment.

The item he was trying to trade for:

Under no circumstances will I do a deal with Paul Gagni, from Virginia Beach. Buyers and sellers beware of this guy.

Initial deal: Mk3/aimpoint combo + cash from potential CZ deal from vagt member near him
Problem: buyer was taking forever to respond to pm's

New deal: Due to buyer near him being unresponsive or just untimely koen suggested Mk3/aimpoint combo w cz p09 +100
Agreed to a meet spot and time

Problem: I tell the wife what my plans are for sunday and she reminded me the way that wives do..lol that due to some timing issues we can't have $ going out the door. That I would have to sell the rifle if I bought it anyway.

Solution: reluctantly I asked koen if I could back out due to this and that I had a buyer on the CZ for $480 that was close by he said no worries and I apologized. DEAL OVER

A few min later I contacted the buyer and agreed to meet to sell him the cz which he followed through with and I sold him the cz and no "better deal" was worked out.

During this I was in the shout box bs-ing with John aka 1911guy
he asked about trading for the cz I said I am selling it

I stated that the other gun was still up

he talked of trading for that and In a polite way I was attempting to ask him to add cash to consider it but did not get to that point because I arrived at the meet spot to sell the CZ I told john that if the cz buyer backed out I would trade it which would still leave me to be able to sell the mk3/aimpoint combo to get $ in the door eventually instead of spending $

So simple math recap here

Deal:Trade two guns I can sell to koen +$100 and drive 4hrs round trip (gas $ and time)

(Find out I shouldn't be spending money ask to back out of deal, Koen agrees)
DEAL OVER

Option 1 :Sell CZ for $480 and keep the $100

Option 2: (IF CURRENT BUYER BACKS OUT)Trade CZ with john locally (IF AGREED UPON) and Sell mk3/aimpoint for up to $750 and keep my $100

Option 3: Sell both guns and get almost $1230 and keep my $100

Bottom line is however I chose to get money in the door or prevent it from going out was not up to koen to decide and policing me on the shoutbox was not necessary. Either way whatever I decided to go with was still honest on my part because either way koen's deal was going to cost me $ and all other options brought $ in or didn't require me to spend while still having the ability to sell the other setup if needed.

The issue that upset Koen was more of a context issue which would have been resolved If he asked instead of throwing a tantrum

I do apologize for having to back out of the original deal, and for the confusion.
However, I have no hard feelings toward koen and understand his frustration with how things may have looked.

I am sure I missed something and I can provide proof of all comms as well.
