The old $600 Jeep from years back... beat her to death (something like 4-5 bumpers)... Vise on the hood for chainsaws... Not one ounce of maintenance...  Traded her away for $800 in ammo cans --------------------- Paintjob?????????? Kids at our annual oyster roast have free license to paint. I did the Circle L on the hood to make them feel more at ease about slopping house paint on a car. P.S. If you ever come to one of our oyster roasts I might offer this friendly suggestion... DO NOT PARK NEAR THE NEW TOY... just saying... sometimes kids get carried away.

I’ve got a 1970 fj40 for 35,000 if you’re interested. Solid. Last auction I bid at had a solid S/S Unimog... Went for $7,500... Been kicking myself for passing on that ever since. Yes Toyotas are tough, but a Unimog is insanely tough.

22RE , more power , fuel injected and won't choke out on extreme angle ( steep hill ) jus sayin' Great point... I'll buy 22REs super cheap also. Mine came with an inline electric fuel pump (top left corner of pic)... Seems like a good solution so far.

After a couple of deals with Austin ( https://vaguntrader.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/users/51851/Jpfreek19) asked him to do some fabrication work for me... Blue painted part is attached to the frame with twelve M12x 1.25 bolts (six on face and six underneath). Dual Reese hitch horizontal is for removable tow rig (black part with diamond plate)... or cooler rack... or removable winch... or fishing rod rack etc. etc. Dual Reese hitch VERTICAL is for removable ladder rack extension... or brush guard... or shooting bench/work table (picture #4)... This shooting bench/work table will sit out in front of the truck when the truck is parked and I need it... It will be picked up and rotated 180 degrees when I don't (ride on top of the hood for storage/hood protection). This Toyota is 100% OFF-ROAD and Farm Use ONLY!!! He did a very nice job for me and VERY FAIR PRICES (Austin is in his mid 20s and runs a mobile rig). I highly recommend him if you have welding or fabrication needs!!! ---------------- FYI, I will do a similar bumper (front and rear) on all three of of my Dodge diesels. Reese hitch Centerline/Spread will be IDENTICAL... so any truck can carry/tow any other truck... Well, maybe the Toyota won't be towing a Dodge 3500, but you get what I am saying... Winch can be mounted front or rear etc. etc. Cooler rack... ladder rack extension etc. etc.     The part I forgot to mention is the 45 degree Reese hitch in the middle... plan to use that as a ball/pivot point for a Gin pole (winch will be mount high on the roll bar)... nothing crazy... maybe 1 or 1.5 tons (IT'S JUST A TOYOTA after all)

Can't remember which engine model has the timing chain. But I'll second that they're near indestructible. Had a buddy that used to take his out and cruise around the reservoir when enough water had been let out for the year.
