Just a quick clarification question. Is 00 (.33 cal) buck the only buckshot allowed?

Because 410 runs 000 which are wider/heavier pellets. (.36 cal)

On the other hand, 20 gauge buckshot can come in 9 pellets of #1 buckshot (.30 cal) or 20 pellets of #3 buck (.25 cal)

And even in 12 gauge if you run the Opsol adapters in a 12 gauge you can run the mini buck loads which are sometimes a mix of #4 buck and #1 buck.

I've seen at some ranges the person behind the counter doesn't understand that certain gauge/bore shotguns don't run 00 but do run heavier and lighter buck pellets.
