I've been trying to research 9mm ammo for PCCs assuming I'm not using a suppressor.

Most of what I have read is around the idea that 147gr behaves the most similar to 147gr from a pistol.

I know that some HP bullets will deform at higher speeds or open so rapidly they don't penetrate well at those speeds.

But, what about the light and fast approach using the extra barrel length? With 90gr or even 68gr Lehigh Defense copper bullets pushing them out to 1600fps and 2000fps.

I'm thinking of getting a Sub2000 and was thinking that the light fast approach would give me better range.

thoughts?

What kind of range and penetration you looking for? I run 124's at 1500 fps with a Ruger PPC and they perform well within my needs. Some food for thought

I've seen the first one previously. The Paul Harrel one was good, but he didn't give the velocity of the Underwood from the carbine.

Some more with the Extreme Defense vs HPs:

Seems like the increased velocity for the EDs and the HPs gets to a point where it is detrimental for a wound channel in gel.

Hi Mark, have been plinking with the sub 2000 and the hi point carbine at 50 and 100 yards.

What distance are you trying to push to?
