What's some of the strangest things you've used to catch catfish?

Chicken necks marinated in cherry kool ade left out in sun for about a week. I wouldn’t try it if I had a weak stomach, stinks enough to make a buzzard puke.

Hot dogs. Cheapest Walmart had. Cut a chunk, slip over the shank of a treble hook, attach treble hook to line with a snap swivel.

I don't fish but a co-worker said he best bait was blanched tomatoes. He would put them in a woman's stocking and over the hook. He always brought in pictures of huge catfish.

While using chicken livers and not catching , a old guy fishing was catching fish . After a while we asked what he was using for bait . He was using ivory soap. Cut a chunk off a bar . Threw it on a hook and chucked it out there , sure enough , he was catching . Stuff works .
