I'm not sure that I want to get rid of this old rifle. If you collect WWI stuff maybe you can tell me if you know anything about one I picked up at an auction.
This is what I think it is.
German model 1871 Infantry in 6.5 x 53
Daudeteau,6.5x53MMR,6.5x53.5MMR or a .265 Mannlicher.
I think these were captured by the French from the Germans and re chambered.
It is a beauty. For it's age I believe it is Museum quality.
