A great deal of effort has been made to research this gun from true authorities of the Webley & Scott collection of firearms, namely Mr. Ed Buffaloe, the founder/owner of the website

This gun wasn't fired that much, as the extractor is in pristine condition. This is a fully working, vintage piece that comes with 2 original 8-shot magazines and the original holster with a big number 8 on it. 8th Calvary? 8th police precinct?
The mechanics of the gun are 100% perfect in every possible way - Just as from the factory!
The left side of the slide is marked "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD/LONDON & BIRMINGHAM/7.65m/m & 32 AUTOMATIC PISTOL" with the winged bullet logo near the slide serrations. The right side of the slide is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND"

It's not completely a 1905, 1906, or 1907 model, rather it's a transitional (possible protoype?) piece as the factory moved on to integrate some of their new engineering advancements during production
The research conducted, in part with Ed Buffaloe, for the past 2 years likely places the actual manufacturing date in 1907....
In 1908 the "design" was similar but actual parts of gun were definitely different.
They made 3000 per year and serial # 8155 is about mid-summer 1907 - Only 9,300 or so were made between 1905 through till November 1907.
Has all the upgrades:
The coveted safety on the slide, not hammer
Fixed pin on trigger, safety on slide
7mm hammer instead of 10mm
Adjustable rear site
Firing pin made from stronger metal
* All these were "predecessors" to the famous 1908 version in which even the MP Police dept was issued them
The gun was rarely fired, per the hammer strike, not necessarily just by the clean extractor
Holster appears to be period to about 100+ years old. It's a very high-quality leather and is in good/fair condition, but could be brought back to better condition by someone who is good with that sort of thing.
According to Ed, there's a chance that one of the magazines will only work in the full 1908 version, but he wasn't completely certain. Only the one magazine was used in testing by the previous owner and worked perfectly.
