Smith & Wesson model 10-11, 38 special with 4" heavy barrel. This is a transitional model that has the transfer bar hammer, but no "Hillary Hole". This was one of the revolvers that were exported to South America for police use and were re-imported a few years ago. (Maybe exports never had the lock hole) There is probably an interesting story about where and when it was in service, but I didn't get the history pulled through S&W.

Good honest revolver that shows plenty of holster wear, but like most police guns doesn't show a lot of wear from firing. There is an inconspicuous import mark on the bottom of the frame in front of the trigger guard. Fixed sights with Hogue rubberized stocks. Good shooter.
