WTS: Para Ordnance P-16 chambered in .40sw. Stainless steel finish.
This gun was sent to Novak Customs early in its life for a full work up. The slide is marked by Novak and the custom work is what we have all come to expect as being "normal" on a 1911 in 2024. However; this was done in the 1990s and was pretty much a rocketship for that time. (Novak has not done custom work on guns for years). This pistol has a set of Novak sights. The rear is black and the front has a red fiber optic pipe in it. The trigger is FANTASTIC. The grip safety has been internally deactivated.
There was a time that Novak worked over P-16s were standard issue for FBI HRT. This may be one of them, or it may just be the same gun that they used. I can tell you that I am the third owner. The second owner got it used from a gunshop within about 20 miles from Quantico, so it could be. I have never cared enough to try to find out more.
The pistol shows signs of use. I never shot it much, but it could have been someones match pistol back in the day.
The pistol will come with the original box and manual as well as 7 magazines. The magazines are all Para Ordnance factory made. 4 of the are as they left the factory and are 15rd capacity. 1 has a small extension (I'm not sure who made it) and is a 17rd capacity. The last 2 magazines have an Arredondo extension, bringing their capacity to 18rds.
Price is $1500 for package. I am reducing the price to $1200. I am in Tappahannock and don't have an FFL local to me. I will work with you to find a dealer that is agreeable to both of us. Buyer pays transfer.
