This is a Colt DA 45 Army revolver, also referred to as the New Service revolver. The manufacture date is circa 1918 based on the serial number although these are notorious for having both an army and manufacturer's serial number which can give different dates within a couple years. The blueing is in great shape with no pitting. The only blemishes are arcs visible near the grips from some plastic aftermarket target grips that used to be on it. These are original walnut grips. everything functions perfectly and the bore is clean. The pistol comes with 10 pair of half clips and 4 full clips. Because this revolver fires 45 auto, it needs the clips to retain the rimless cartridges in the cylinder. I also have a couple 20 round boxes of NOS Winchester 230 grain JHPs that can go with it. $1000 firm.
