M1 Garand Winchester FEB 1945 WIN -13 WWII CMP Certified Dash 13 WRA

M1 GARAND WRA WWII WW2 Winchester

CMP Rack GRADE M1 - Winchester 30-06 This is your chance to own a piece of WW II History. This rifle was manufactured by Winchester in April 1945

Here's a great rifle for the WWII collector. This is a very desirable Winchester "Win-13" M1 Garand. During WWII there were just two manufacturers of the M1 Garand rifle Springfield Armory and Winchester. So that there would be no duplication of serial numbers, each manufacturer was assigned certain specific serial number blocks in which they were to number their receivers. By the start of 1945, Winchester serial numbers had passed 2,500,000. Strangely, the Win-13 rifles were assigned an earlier serial number block (approx. 1,601,000-1,640,000) and duplicated serial numbers already produced by Springfield! These late receivers were given a unique drawing number and are stamped "D28291WIN-13" on the receiver leg hence the nickname "Win-13". The Win-13's are the last Winchester M1 Garands ever manufactured and are relatively scarce, making them quite desirable to the M1 collector.

CMP Rack Grade (.30-06) M1 Garand. .

M1 Garand from 1945, also referred to as a Win-13. Produced by Winchester late in World War II, the "WIN-13" (aka "Dash 13") Winchester M1 Garands were built using receivers that had been manufactured in 1942/43 and laid aside until late to mid 1945. Found in a serial number range of "1601150" to "1642000", itself an overrun of one of Springfield's assigned serial number blocks from 1943, the Win-13 Garands represent the very end of Winchester's WWII Garand run, numbering less than 40,000
