Like new upper receiver I purchased recently for a M4A1 SOPMOD project - ended up going for a "salty" one to better match the lower. This "should" be an unmarked Colt receiver: stamped "M4", it has the Colt dry lube inside and Colt didn't always mark with the C. Guy I bought it from took it off a Colt SOCOM. $100 ftf near Fredericksburg, add $10.00 for shipping.
Thanks for looking.
Edit: a fellow VAGT member shared this link with me concerning my statement above that Colt didn't always mark uppers with a "C" -
https://thegunzone.com/how-to-tell-a-colt-upper-receiver/ . As I also said above, the seller I purchased from (on AR15.com) stated it came off a Colt SOCOM. I've checked GunBroker and seen many listings for Colt LE6920 SOCOMs, the 16" civilian version, that have the Cerro forge (keyhole) mark but no "C" or CAGE code. This one also has the "M4" mark above the gas tube opening on the front of the receiver. also "C" marked uppers are going for about twice what I'm asking for this one, which is basically what I paid for this one.
I feel I did my due diligence and stand by my original description, but I thank (sincerely, not sarcasm) the member for alerting me that some potential buyers might be suspicious about calling it a Colt.
