For sale is a Remington model 700 Stainless Alaskan TI Clone in 300 WSM. I purchased this rifle for elk hunting in Colorado and never was able to make it out there again. The rifle has never been hunted with and failing health necessitates the sale. Purchased in Oct of 2010 from Red Hawk Rifles LLC in Cedaredge, CO. The rifle has a 24” barrel and a Bell & Carlson black with gray spider web stock with the aluminum bedding block and hinged floor plate. The rifle stock has been skim bedded with fiberglass to fit the receiver perfectly. B & C stock model number is 2462-22. Machine work was performed by Red Hawk Rifles to flute the barrel, lighten the bolt handle and spiral flute the bolt. Rifle is scoped with a matte finished Leupold 4.5 x 14 x 40 VX-III with Boone & Crockett reticle and Butler Creek flip up scope caps. Scope model # is 66225. Scope mount is a one piece aluminum Game Reaper mount from DNZ Products LLC. Rifle without ammo weighs in at 7 lb 12 oz. Trigger breaks cleanly at 3.25 lbs with no creep or over travel. Red Hawk shot a test group of Remington 150 g Core Locked Pointed Soft Point ammo at .349”. Most all of my testing was done with 180 g Barnes Triple Shock bullets. The rifle proved to be a consistent shooter at ~ 1” with 62.0 g RL-17, 180 g Barnes TSX bullet, Norma Brass, Fed 210M Primer. OAL is 2.840” to ogive with .010” bullet jump to contact lands. Chronograph reads ~ 2912 FPS with this load. The sale will include 50 rounds of the above reloads and 107 fired, assorted cases. Buyer agrees to shoot these reloads at his own risk. These rounds are for this specific rifle only and should never be used in another firearm. Also included are RCBS dies as follows: Full Length size die set part # 30801 (2 die set), X-die Full length size part # 30809 (single die), Neck size die set part # 30802 (2 die set).
