Hello all...need some help. I'm kicking around the idea of selling my Rem 742 in .243 Win. Rifle is in excellent condition. Bluing is in excellent condition with only two minor flaws/wear. Bothe on the barrel, one near muzzle. The stock was refinished by me. No dings or blemishes. I stripped off the old finish, re-stained it and finished it with Tung Oil which gives it a nice matte water resilient finish. It is scoped with a Leupold VX-1 4x12-40 Duplex crosshair. I also have 17 rounds of Winchester Power Point 100 grain. Picatinny rail with rings.
Ser# is B6985227 if anyone is motivated to research its DOM.
What is a reasonable price to ask if I decide to sell?

Sounds like you have a nice gun and many 742 owners will agree. But - the 742 is known for malfunctioning and dropping magazines which led Remington to stop repairing them and offering a credit of I believe $250 toward a new gun. I would put your rifle on an auction which will generate a true value.
