This was my son's account. He wasn't a very active member online really but when he was a teenager him and his best friend would hang out with us around the VGT tables at the Richmond gun show. He also attended all the Tannerite BBQ events we held back in those days. He helped us with prep before hand and clean up afterwards too.

He knew Dadcpu and Bugzy as well as many other members.

On December 11 this year he was feeling bad and so my wife took him to the ER. It turned out he had an aortic dissection, basically a tear in his heart so he was flown to Chippenham Hospital(a great facility, all the doctors and nurses we dealt with were very good). They performed emergency open heart surgery overnight and they were able to repair his heart.

After a few days he wasn't waking up or responding like he should have been and they determined at some point he had a stroke, so there was brain damage and there was no way to know how much he would recover from it or how long it would take.

December 28 was his birthday, he turned 26 laying in that hospital bed.

Earlier this week we saw some signs of improvement, he was opening his eyes a lot and responding to some simple commands like "open your mouth" and "nod your head". So as of last night when we saw him, we had begun to hope that he was going to recover and we were preparing ourselves for the long road ahead.

This morning at around 7am we got a call from the hospital that his heart had stopped and they tried for more than an hour but they could not revive him, our son had died.

If there is a worse feeling than this, I don't want to know what it is.

I remember many times hanging out with William at the gun shows and the tannerite barbecues. He was a great man and he will be missed. Your family will be on our minds during this time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it must be like for you and your family to lose a child, but it sounds like you gave him a great youth around the good ones in this group.

I am so sorry for your loss brother. No words can ease the pain. The wife and I will pray for you, and only time can soften the wound. Know that he will always be with you. They say time heals all, it softens.
