Not sure the deal with all these newbies and their shady dealings. This douche agreed to hold a gun, I told him id buy. He doesnt respond to pms, he bumps and lowers the price on his post. I have all messages with this guy. Man, this site and these people on here aren't what they used to be. Attached are the back and forth, you can clearly see his intent to hold it, last message was after I guess hes trying to make me look at fault.

First off, I just want to say I appreciate all the name calling Coffman has thrown my way. I also appreciate him calling me a newbie to the forums, even though I have been here for about a decade and have had almost exclusively good dealings with members.

As far as Coffmans complaint. He asked if I could hold the gun I was selling at a bottom dollar price, initially until the middle of the month. That was already an ask as I am not a pawn shop, I don’t offer layaway and holding any gun for an extended period of time without a deposit or real commitment is risky. I’ve been burned plenty of times. After I told him I’d hold it, he then says it’d be the end of the month before he could pick it up. Close to a month total time I’d need to hold the gun. I was honestly so annoyed by 1. The increased timeline and 2. The expectation that someone should hold something for you for that long.

Where I will take blame is my comms should’ve been better and I should’ve told Coffman to kick rocks for expecting me to hold the gun that long. That would’ve saved me the headache of dealing with this member.

To conclude this mess, I’ll just leave you with this. Personally I would never reach out to someone about buying something if I knew I wouldn’t have the money for a MONTH to buy it and I especially wouldn’t throw a fit when that person doesn’t want to hold it for me for a month.
