This is a beautiful example of a nice Sako and, in a common caliber. The Sako L579 Forester is a highly regarded, classic Finnish bolt-action rifle introduced in 1958, renowned for its accuracy, smooth action, and exceptional craftsmanship. They are also known for high-quality, oil-hardened Bofors steel barrels.

This one features a 23-inch heavy barrel with a 1:10 twist, and the gun weighs around 9 pounds. The trigger is exceptionally crisp, the bolt is smooth! While the stock shows some honest use, it's still beautiful. It utilizes a classic Sako tapered dovetail system for mounting scopes. I can include gloss Sako (1") scope rings and/or the selectable 100/200 yard peep sight shown.. It's very well built and accurate as is.
