Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Smith & Wesson Model 36 "No-Dash" chambered in .38 Special. According to S&W serial number records, this particular revolver left the Springfield, MA factory in the spring of 1981.

This is a highly desirable "transitional era" piece featuring the classic Pinned Barrel configuration right before Smith & Wesson discontinued the pinning process in 1982. It features a traditional hammer-mounted firing pin, forged steel internal parts, and NO internal safety lock (Hillary Hole), making it a true purist's wheel gun.

* Finish: Very Good to Excellent vintage condition. The original deep factory bluing is sharp. There is very minor, honest handling wear/faint scuffs on the side plate and minimal thinning at the muzzle from storage, as typical for a well-cared-for 45-year-old firearm. No rust or pitting.
* Grips: Features the original factory checkered wood grips with clean S&W silver medallions. The wood matches the frame tightly.
* Mechanics: Lockup is incredibly tight Timing is dead-on in both single-action and double-action. The bore and cylinder chambers are bright with sharp rifling.

If shipping is needed will be at your cost.
