Not me. If I'm not mistaken, they did away with them when the ak 74 was made because the ammo in drums made noise from shifting around and made it nearly impossible to be stealthy and im sure this has gotten many soldiers on the other side killed over this.

The is an experimental RPK74 drum located in a Museum in Russia. It was never put into production or service, the 45 round RPK74 magazine was carried over from the previous 40 round RPK design.

Last year a company by the name of The Barrel Exchange used existing 7.62x39 drums and converted them to 5.45. I don't remember the price, I think it was around $250.

Currently, Russia is testing a 60 round quad stack magazine, they didn't work that well and the capacity was changed to 50 rounds. So you can say Surefire copied the Russians who copied the Finns with their Soumi SMG quad stack magazine.

Now there is a drum for the AK74s! I thought about this thread when I saw these. Seen a few reviews and they are said to function very well. My only gripe is that they don't have steel reinforced feed lips. Other than that, should definitely be a game changer for those with AK74s.
