Fellow VGT'ers,

We all know eBay is full of counterfeit goods but I want to warn you about a specific eBay seller who has been flagged by AR equipment manufacturers but is still allowed to operate on eBay. This seller appears to deal in cheap Chinese counterfeit parts and has threatened legal action against buyers that complain.

The seller was operating under the user name "bigwhips1" but appears to have switched to "shootingparts". Regardless of the user name, you will know if it is the same person based on a few elements:

1. Item is located in Hooper, Utah.

2. Item description will state the item is new, never installed and generally includes a phrase like this, "What you see is what you get I may have the instructions but no promises if I can find them I will include them."

3. Here is the return policy which eBay has been told appears to be in violation of their policies but they still let this seller operate:
"Due to the nature of this item. We will extend a 3 day no fire inspection period. If during this period the item does not meet buyers expectations we will offer a refund. Given the following conditions are met. Buyer notifies us via contact buyer that they want to return item do not attempt to return the item through the e bay system this will add time to the return process and limit what we can do to fix problem and may void the return entirely. If a case is opened through ebay we treat this as a fraudulent charge back and file court papers that day. So once again just contact us through email or the contact seller button. If you open a case through ebay we will cease communication and file court papers that same day. All communication at this point will be in court. Buyer will leave positive or no feedback at all nor post anything negative.Buyer pays all shipping cost. Item is returned in the exact condition sent out with no marks or signs of wear or alteration item can not be fired. If all these terms are met we will gladly issue a refund upon receipt of item back. If any of these conditions are not met we will not issue a refund of any kind. Buyer also agrees that if a claim arises over the return or negative remarks being left we reserve the right to collect it civilly and buyer agrees the the venue and jurisdiction will be Webers Second District court and i reserve the right to file in either Ogden City or Roy City. If the need to pursue this civilly arises or false feedback is left buyer agrees to restocking fee of a minimum $500 plus purchase price and any additional time and fees incurred while filing civil case."

Beware this seller at all costs!

Hope this helps!

That's an obvious violation of eBay policies and is a load of crap. Feedback is a valuable part of trading. eBay does ask to contact the seller first to see about resolution but no way they will allow legit negative feedback to go to court. That is a unilateral contract, unenforceable. If they sell you bogus goods they suffer the consequences

How about this as a resolution. Don't buy gun parts on eBay, Amazon, Craigslist or any other site like it. It has always been a place for scammers to operate with no consequences. Buy from companies that are known to be legit.
