This is for the .45 ACP cartridge. As with all of my loads, this one uses a cast "boolit" that I cast myself.

Bullet: 200gr LRNFP, Lee 452-200-RF, with Liquid Alox lube
Charge: 5.4gr Titegroup
Case: Mixed 45 Auto (ACP) cases, both small and large primer versions
Primer: Mostly Tulammo unplated (small and large), followed by Winchester unplated (large), and CCI nickel-plated (small)

Load Characteristics:

This load was developed for--gee, big surprise--a 1911. But not just any 1911, rather an ol' retired Marine's war-issue 1911, revision of 1917, complete w/ appropriate patina. This load fires great in that and four other 1911's I've tried from various vendors. It also works very well in Glock 21's and Ruger SR-45's.

The kick is like you'd expect of any standard .45 ACP. In other words, yes, there is some. :-)

This load works perfectly with both small-primer and large-primer 45 Auto (ACP) cases. I see and feel no difference whatsoever between the two primer size types. Point of aim is the same at 25 yards.

Glock polygonal barrels do appear to like this cast "boolit" load quite a bit. The Glock 21 through which I tested it showed no lead-fouling problems. But, as always, make sure you clean your gun--any gun--after your range time for the day.
