This is the set of furniture that I made yesterday in my workshop. It's far from perfect, but that's kind of the point. If I were to make this again, I know what I would and wouldn't do a second time around. The pieces are solely held together with copper pins that I made, with the exception of a 3" star drive screw holding two of the three pieces together to make the. "Stock." The, "Riser" is made from ipe. The rest of the "Stock" is made from cherry. The center of the grip is cherry that is sandwiched in between two pieces of ipe... held together by copper pins. The handguard is entirely cherry. It slides onto the existing M-LOK handguard using triangular, retainment tabs that are pinned in place by, you guessed it, copper pins. With the rear of the handguard unable to slide up or down, only away from the upper, the handguard is secured using two M-LOK fastening screws. I am well aware that this wood would probably look much better on non-FDE parts. It would also look a lot better if a barrel and a scope were present . The parts pictured came from here and there. These are just some spare parts that I used for an experiment. I can tell you that all of these wood pieces are actually rock solid, and while it's totally different from the norm, it works. lol
