I'm looking at purchasing a suppressor and SILENCERCO doesn't recommend shooting lead projectiles through their products. Is this just a general disclaimer similar to "smoking can lead to cancer" or is there a legitimate concern for shooting lead ammo? Thanks.

Leads to build up of lead deposits, and in a suppressor that cannot be disassembled it may be very difficult to clean. Since most bullets are jacketed it’s not really a problem; they are referring to cast lead projectiles.
